Today I show you the storyboard of the picture book I am writing and illustrating. In the picture, you see this little sketch. Each picture of the book has got this little sketch, and all of them create the “plan” of the book. This storyboard is drawn on a cardboard. As soon as I’m done with each picture, it gets a check mark with a red pen. You can see it in the second picture. I like this traditional method because by having the storyboard on the card board it becomes a more fixed thing.
Some details about the sketch: this is the next spread I’d like to share with you. It all starts here in the storyboard. This spread is the next coming right after Emil discovers little sad Lotta. The book will have 48 pages and this is page 34-35. Stay tuned for the next post!
